CASE PRESENTATION:

Rules and regulations:

  • Case presentation will be open to all UG students.
  • Only individual entries will be accepted. No group presentations will be allowed.
  • The presentation should consist of :

- Title

- Patient particulars

- History (only relevant negative and positive findings)

- General and systemic examination findings

- Differential diagnosis

- Provisional diagnosis

- Investigations

- Treatment

- Prognosis

- Follow-up

- Take home message

  • The students should prepare a power point presentation. The presentation shall be strictly in MS power point 2010 or higher versions and submitted one hour before the start of the session and a copy of the same should be mailed after selection.
  • Presentation time of 5 minutes on the day of the event shall be allotted followed by the judge’s questions for two minutes.
  • Candidates should be present at least 1 hour before the start of case presentation.
  • The identity of the patient should not be revealed.
  • Visuals in the form of photos and videos are highly encouraged. Do not take visuals from the Internet.
  • Participants can bring their own lasers and pointers.
  • All participants will be given certificates.

 

Abstract:

  • The case abstract should not exceed more than 300 words excluding title, registration id and author details.
  • The abstract shall be in the following format:

- Title

- Author

- Guide

- Introduction

- Case description (brief history, diagnosis, management, treatment)

- Discussion

  • Last date for abstract submission is August 1st.

 

POSTER PRESENTATION:

Rules and regulations:

  • Poster presentations are open to all UG students.
  • The topic of the poster may be research oriented or a review article on the recent advancements in the field of medicine.
  • The poster should be printed and not hand written.
  • Poster can be done by a maximum of 3 authors (1 guide and 2 co-authors).
  • Only one of the authors can explain and present the poster to the judges.
  • Questions from the judges can be answered by any of the authors.
  • Presentation time of 5 minutes on the day of the event shall be allotted followed by the judge’s questions for two minutes.
  • Designing of the poster is the presenters choice. There will be no restrictions on font and pictures.
  • Dimensions of the poster should be in and around: 4x3 ft
  • Poster should be put in an allotted area 1 hr before the specified time.

PAPER PRESENTATION:

Rules and regulations:

  • Paper presentations will be open to all UG students.
  • Only individual entries will be accepted. No group presentations will be allowed.
  • Both funded (ICMR/university/other agencies) and non-funded projects are welcome.
  • Plagiarism is unacceptable and such papers will be rejected.
  • The students should prepare a power point presentation. The presentation shall be strictly in MS power point 2010 or higher versions and submitted one hour before the start of the session and a copy of the same should be mailed after selection.
  • Candidates should be present at least 1 hour before the start of paper presentation.
  • Each participant will get 6 minutes to present their paper which will be followed by a question and answer session by the judges for 2 minutes.
  • Selected presentations will be given certificates.

 

Abstract:

- Aims and objectives
